Sending my used printer cartridge to recyclingfactory.com

I requested 10 free envelopes
Update : you have to reach £20 before you get a payout. It's hidden in the small print.
When you send a cartridge, after about 10 days they send a confirmation email

Catch number 2 : Most of the time they only pay for 'original branded' cartridges. If you send an empty cartridge of their own recycled brand you get nothing. If it comes with an envelope in Tesco you might get clubcard points.

send your used printer catridges, laser toners, or mobile phones

postage is free
goes in your nominated bank account
score : 10/10 (if they pay you)

Recently I had to buy a new black cartridge for my Hewlett Packard Deskjet 1050 printer. Looking for the cheapest possible price from a 'physical' shop in a limited time, I chose a Tesco own brand. When I opened the package I found it to be a recycled cartridge from the therecyclingfactory.com (I knew it was recycled).

I have no problems using a recycled cartridge. It also had a freepost envelope in it, which said if I sent the old cartridge back to the therecyclingfactory.com with my clubcard number enclosed I would get 100 Tesco clubcard points. This made me look up the company on the internet and I found that I could send the cartridge back myself and get £3.74 for my HP 301 cartridge. Looking around the website, everything about this company was 'perfect' (see updates for not having this perception now). You create an account with them online and give them a nominated bank account for deposits. Everything is freephone and freepost. You get a quote online before sending your item so you know what you are getting. You can send items by freepost using printed labels or phone for free envelopes. Luckily for me the new cartridge had a protective clip over the ink area, so I used that on the old cartridge to protect it. They also collect laser toners and mobile phones.

Note : The website and running of the company is still great but the 'catches' are unacceptedly hidden. Main catch is you need to wait to get to £20 to receive money and they mostly don't give any money for return of their own cartridges. Haven't found any more catches (yet!).

I am not in a position to say if therecyclingfactory.com are the best price for selling your old cartridges etc but everything about this company's service and logistics is outstanding to me.
