Review/demo : Philips Hair Clipper Pro (model QC5345)
Quick impression : Very good cutter and only 2 attachments needed. No oil either. Charges up in 1 hour. Light. Cutting edge is washable.
Downside : Only real gripe is ... a bit noisy
Score : 9/10
Score per value : depends how much you paid but they are good quality.
Review :
Great cutter !!!
Battery type : Lithium Ion (charges in an hour). Says it lasts for 75 minutes. Very light-weight. Indicator on cutter goes amber when battery is low. Charger stops when cutter is fully charged. Indicator goes green when charging. Charger is just a plug and cable.
Attachments : Instead of loads of different attachments, the Philips QC5345 comes with 2 attachments that can be set to 20 different settings (up to 40mm). Also you can remove the attachments to cut as close as possible. For some reason I find this model cuts my hair much better than former cheaper models I tried.
Blade : Apparently the blades are rounded making them 'skin-friendly'. Presumably means it doesn't 'nic' easily.
Oil : no oil needed !
Washable : It says the blade can be washed. Not tried it myself. Check instructions.
Noise : This is my only gripe (so far). Maybe expecting too much but I thought they would be less noisy than normal clippers. Pretty noisy.
Great buy. Look around for best price.
