Ikea Bissa Shoe Compartment : demo
IKEA Bissa shoe cabinet with 2 compartments
Quick conclusion. Very good purchase. Holds 8 shoe pairs. A bit bigger at home than I expected but still means more space. Great design. Cost : £20/$32.
Star rating : 9/10

Review :
Bought the IKEA Bissa shoe cabinet for £20. It is a great solid wood cabinet that is meant to be fixed to the wall. All fittings and fixings are supplied (including small nails, screws etc). It is relatively difficult to make, but most people should be able to construct it. There are a few 'puzzling' stages though, where wrong decisions could be made. It requires hammering in some small nails at one point. It takes up to 8 pairs of shoes and the design makes it easy to access the shoes. The cabinet is a bit bigger in the house than it looked in the shop but it still saves space I reckon. Also you can put something on top of it, to save more space. It is supposed to be fixed to the wall (fixings supplied) but I didn't. It is pretty sturdy though I guess there is a slight safety issue without it fixed, especially with small kids and animals. It is a very attractive wood and a beautiful design. Recommended, though not sure a cheaper version can be bought elsewhere since I guess most people will have their shoe cabinets hidden in a cupboard.

What size shoes did you put in your cabinet?
size 11 mens (EU ?). Quite big. Fit pretty easy.
Do you find the cabinet tips over without being fixed to the wall?
mine doesnt, but I see how that could easily happen.
